ORIGINAL POST: If you're like me, you look at photos of flowers and think how beautiful they all are, but can't decide what YOU want.
One way to start is to simply collect lots of photos -- whether you tear pages from magazines [and don't limit yourself to wedding mags -- Pottery Barn and design mags can have great ideas!] or electronically store files from websites. Collect for a few weeks (months!) all in one (or two) place(s) -- and then go back and browse. You might be surprised to see a trend has developed -- mostly roses, all bright colors, mainly pastels, a lot of sleek and modern.
If you can't gauge your own style, let your "gut" guide you. Keep collecting and broaden your search.
Or, collect for a while and then show it to someone else. Sometimes your sister, your best friend, or your florist can detect a "style" in your notes that you didn't see.
The best advice on flowers -- look at lots of pictures! They really mean it when they say, a picture is worth a thousand words. Collect your photos and share them with your florist!
