Many brides and grooms stand with their backs to the guests, and block the glorious site of the lighting of the unity candle. Isn't that part of why you invite everyone? So they can share in your union? Consider standing behind or on the side of the candle so that everyone can see!

I absolutely love this idea. I'm a wedding videographer here in Atlanta and being able to shoot the couples faces while they're lighting the candle would be priceless! I'd love to see this tradition change to where the bride and groom are facing the audience.
